Floral Trend still Blossoming!

 'I know way to much trends that are here that weren't here last year, what the hell are yall doing......Unless you get the seal of approval from ME, ME, Im gonna approve Floral ..... (Drake Tune)

Its the end of April and Summer is not upon us yet, I am not going to complain because i have sampled some beautiful days with my roof down! Just a quick reminder that Women you need to get your Floral's out! The trend is still 'growing!' (excuse my floral rhetoric)

If i said to my sister Monique to put on a floral pattern top, the conversation would go a little something like this:

Simone: Monique, this seasons trend is Floral- I think you need to plant some seeds of growth into your wardrobe, Don't you think?

Monique: Sim, how old do I look? I am not Nana's age (84), I am not into looking like I just fell out of a magazine, I prefer to keep it simple as you well know,

Simone: I know exactly how old you are but I think that a few key pieces will really bring you into style and I know your not as outrageous as me but just give it a try?

Monique: Alright Sim if you say so but if I look like I belong in Little House on the Prairie your gonna be in trouble AND NOTHING CHEAP! You know I like my Armani clothing.
Simone: (grabbing bag & car keys, with big grin on my face, whilst walking out the door) Come on then Let the fun begin.....on a budget lol,

Now i found this Mohair jumper which itiches the hell out of my skin BUT i think its worth the scratch......


The floral pattern is not invasive of the jumper, it compliments and works well with the black setting. I think this would look lovely in White Mohair also.  I would put this with some white tailored sailor shorts and a nice pair of.....See below yes my favirote designer Alexander McQueen squeezes in again

This Harem suit is really cute, I would wear this out in the day for a nice stroll in Hyde park- very on trend and will work on nicely with heels as pictured. I can imagine myself with a nice glass of Pinot Gregio and a Caesar salad, dark shades, hair swept of my face in a messy up do!
Makeup: Simple creamy due base foundation, pale lips, Pale pink blusher, No eyeshadow but heavy eye mascara

Ladies once you have the outfit on LOCK......Or if you feel its not for you then still incorporate the floral pattern into another part of your image i.e Bags, Hairbands, Footwear or Nails (Hawaii Hibiscus)

Dirty Girl Dance- U gotta learn

Ok, so im sitting at my cousins house chillin waiting for Eastenders with a cuppa tea and some Rich Tea biscuits, During the commercial break i changed over to BET 106and Park I see Rocsi and Terrance doing they thang (american twang) Then Nick Cannon is there with a new lil dude that looks like a younger Chris Brown any way he introduces his new music video and starts to explain about the new dance called the 'Dirty Girl' which was taken from the Orginal Dutty whine dance.....Google it! Just don't try it if your hairs not sewn on!!!


Once the Video started i threw off my blanket put down the PG tips, Sherrie and I jumped up and started to copy this ever so great dance, Now i caused myself a injury or 2 BUT i got the dance moves on smash. In order to complete the dance you need certain ingredients- If you follow below then YOU too can do the 'DIRTY GIRL' dance so here it goes

What you will need:

• Rhythm
• Alot of SPACE
• Co-ordination
• Alot of hair
• Some Tight jeans
• Flat shoes
• An some junk in your Trunk or buy some Butt pants either way you need to make it bounce, jiggle or clap

FAITH SHOE STORE IN ADMINISTRATION

ATTENTION, ATTENTION LADIES Faith Shoes has gone into administration.... I kid you not head down to the stores now to get a % of all shoe prices. All Assest need to be sold!!

 

R.I.P Faith shoes- I have many a shoes boxes in my shoe collection, You will be missed along with Ravels, I will wear and cherise your shoes from here on out. Out of respect i will order a moment of silence in honor of your fab deals, boots, heels & pumps :-(

Faith Shoe Group and its parent company FEC Holdings have joined the likes of fellow retailers Adams and Ethel Austin in administration.
It was announced yesterday (April 22nd) that the women’s footwear firm, which has been up for sale for a number of weeks, will be looked after by Heath Sinclair, Rod Weston and Mike Wellard from international accountancy firm Mazars.
Mr Sinclair revealed that the Mazars team is currently liaising with interested parties in an attempt to facilitate the sale of the business in order to save hundreds of retail jobs.

“We will be working closely with the businesses’ stakeholders in an effort to preserve a well-known retail brand,” he explained.
“We are in the process of communicating with all staff, concession partners and suppliers, and will seek to keep them updated as the process develops.”
Samuel Faith founded the high street retailer in 1964, but it has been under the ownership of his son, Jonathan, since 1997.
Some 362 full-time staff and 1,382 part-time staff are employed in the company’s 78 standalone stores and 120 concessions, which are located in larger retailers such as Debenhams and Topshop.

Eddie is maybe my favorite comedian and is up there with some of the greats such as Eddie Murphy & Richard Prior- He has me in stitches every time we interact, I am so lucky to have him as a friend. Now I have worked with these guys and people i am real, I will not support people/companies/brands that i don't genuinly like.I am 1000% supporting these VA_G as they are not only amazing designers, but true businessmen. I have to give much love to my boy Driss and he is so upfront, approachable & he tells me to shullup on my Blackberry when i start complaining or talking nonsense lol. People that know me that i have to RESPECT you to allow you to get away with that!!!

The weekend of the 17^th- 18^th April 2010 saw the London temperatures reach a lovely 21 degrees!!!! This rapid heat wave caused me to panic and think what to wear???? Confused and unsure I opted on Saturday to wear a summery dress but to add a bit of flavour to my life I put on my high heeled sandals and wait for it ……Socks, Yes I said it SOCKS- Michael Jackson’s trend lives on!!! On sunday as i was working on a Music video with the 1 & only  Natalie Leonna - I wore my Topshop Coral pink laced back top, with Topshop lycra leggings and paired with my knee length Dr Martin  black boots- Edgy but extremely sexy! Cant wait for the Funky Town video to be finished had so much fun on the 'Funky Town Bus' NB: You might see us in the video - The beat was so catchy and immense that i couldnt stop dancing lol

Now I got a mixed public reaction, 90% thought it looked amazing and very creative whilst the other 10% referred me to the local mental health institute. However I have never been one to follow Fashion but I really like this trend as it’s very playful. What do you think?

London Fashion Week

It was a key trend adorning the Catwalks during Fashion week Feb19th-24th 2010 which showcased Spring/Summer 2010. The trend was heavily featured in the Burberry Prorsum Collection. If you’re a Fashion enthusiast as I am… Have a walk down New Bond St, position yourself in front of Burberry and you will see the Visual Merchandisers have dressed the windows and ALL the Mannequins have on socks and heels. If you then turn 180o you will also see Hermes have the same trend theme in there window. 

So this is a EXCLUSIVE  just for my Choice Store family (www.choicestore.co.uk) I put together my own mini campaign called ‘Juicy or Sour’ influenced by Lemons visual interpretation of the look.

 I love this Juicy Couture summer dress, the lemons are cheeky and the style of dress will suit all figures. My advice is to pair it up with the oversized shopper and pair with the matching sock. The dress comes in two colour ways: White/Green/Yellow or Navy/White/Yellow!  Now this look is not for EVERYONE but I think this summer it’s important to be Playful with your clothing as FASHION HAS NO BOUNDARIES

This trend overlaps with another Key Trend: Sporty Inspired. 2010 is the year to open your mind and explore new looks Sporty Inspired clothing is a major thumbs up look. Will let you know more about that in the next blog post! – Don’t want to spoil your healthy appetite now do we??

Devlin & Giggs 'Shot Music' New Video

 Devlin and Giggs, 2 of the best lyricist we have walking the UK streets. The collaboration is mind blowing 'You can ask Colin' came together to do there music video 'SHOT MUSIC' lyrical assassination!!!!!!




On Saturday 10th April I spent the sunny day based at a old concentration camp in Ipswich on set with Devlin, Giggs, Ghetts, Griminal, Lewi White, CEO of 360 records Colin Batsa, Hottest co-director Carly Cussens  (Carly Pictured wearing the SN1 beanie hat) and the one and only Mr Digital Dan- The sickest chiny boy with a camera. All this talent = The 360 Family!





Everyone on Location
The shoot started with a long drive to Ipswich with Griminal, Colin, Myself and as a birthday treat to my lilttle cousin Teiisha I brought her along as she is Mrs Griminal (in her mind only). We arrived on set at 5pm and from there we met Devlin and his 20 man strong East London cocky boys. We brought them some Fosters beers and it started from there. Alcohol was flowing and the vibe was right. Mr Lewi White the producer also came down to show love. Ive got so much love for Mikee he was freezing and Dogzy who is just a NUTTER- We all had so much fun especially as they ate off all my chocolate fingers and Butterkist Popcorn. Who drank my Dissarono and Coke????

Director and Stylist Moment

Digital Dan got into creative mode- Once Devlin was styled and make up done we was ready to do the first shot which consisted of his walking down the runway with the sun setting in the background. It was actually a breathtaking shot. The temperature of the night started to drop and it got sooooooo cold but we still continued filming. This is the moment Dan and I thought we were in Hollywood recreating History! The spotlights do that to you. As you can see i was adorning a Grace Jones headscarf and Digital Dan- Hawaii shorts and Stunners!!!

The shots consisted of a concentration style prison Guantanamo bay sadistic theme. We had the guys in boiler suits with black bags over there heads, whilst the soldiers tortured them! Visually this video is going to be amazing. The elements just match the lyrical ability and flow of both Devlin and Giggs.

Giggs pulled up in a fresh Porsche pumping his latest tune 'look what the cat dragged in- All i can say is that's gonna be another 'Talkin the Hardest hype' VIDEO OUT  15.04.10 @5.30pm. Giggs came on set with the famous SN1 TV and delivered in his low pitched, deep voice (Uhmmmm fan myself off lol!) Giggs left the shoot with some new words for the 'Urban Dictionary' as taught by Ms Carly Cussens and moi.
We had such a fun time on set that only the behind the scenes footage will reveal.

Griminal and Ghetts came down and did there cameo in the video, Both looking great as usual and fully supporting the success of there fellow 360 members. I love and appreciate the respect between the artist as they  are happy and supportive of each others success. Each Artist on the 360 team encourages and motivates the others.

I am proud to be apart of the 360 Family as its made up of some of the hardest working Artist, Producers, Management and Creative Team the UK has EVER SEEN!!

I would like to say a big thank you to Colin Batsa for all he has done for me and the Artist involved with 360..... Like Giggs says in his lyrics 'Ive been doing this from day, you can ask Colin!' (Colin is the guy between Giggs and Ghetts)

My first point of action at Choice HQ is to let you know what has just landed on my desk...Before doing that let me set up the scene. So its 8.30am & the lovely Darren shows me to my desk which is nice and clean ready and waiting for me to redesign. The blinds are closed in the office so he asks the question ‘Lights on or Blinds open?’ I respond ‘It’s a beautiful day, nothing beats natural light’. I open the blinds at my side of the office and the SUNSHINE blinds me, I’m like wow today is going to be a beautiful day!!!! Darren then starts talking about the weather and the topic of sunglasses comes up! He then says to me ‘Simone, we have got some new ‘Alexander McQueen’ sunglasses come in today!!! The size of the smile on my face grew- Firstly Alexander McQueen is one of my favorite designers & secondly I am sitting here blinded by the new rays that are shooting through my window.

Alexander McQueen Sunglasses are now in stock!!! They are to die for, typical aviator style with the cutest skulls with 'bling' in the eyes on the either side. These glasses are available in Stainless Silver/Grey or Matte Black @ £230.00.
I personally prefer the Matte black as they will go nicely with my black convertible.
