Marsha Ambrosius Live @ Dingwalls 27.12.10

Marsha Ambrosius

Picture this ....At the SWV/ Faith Evans Concert @ Indigo 02 and the announcer mentions 'Be sure not to miss the incredible talent of Marsha Ambrosius live @ Dingwalls' I look to my left @ MR CEO the friend i went to the concert with then i look to the right, My boy Jerome we both nod heads and he says 'Simone make the call' In our language that translates to 'WE ARE GOING'

So fast forward .....I get the call from Jerome, Meet me @ Camden for 7.30pm and this is where the magic starts- Now taking into consideration i had been up since 6am and helped one of my bestie deliver her beautiful son 'Kstar' into the world, on the other side of London...I was a little worse for wear, still overwhelmed from witnessing the birth of my godson and TIRED due to the Christmas celebrations. Anyway I'm digressing again.....

OK Now in Dingwalls and they had some opening acts now I can only remember a lady who goes by the name of Byowah (Sorry if spelt wrong) she is an new emerging talent from London who has a Teedra Moses/ Indie Aerie vibe, playing on her acoustic guitar whilst singing was lovely. Byowah captivated the audience and was a lovely start to the show.

NOW comes to the stage looking slim and trim compared to the last mental image i had of her, Marsha Ambrosius , wearing lace tights, Black shorts and a red satin shirt with black blazer- Hair in a curly Afro side part kinda style with her eyes radiating all that she is.....A Musical blessing

I must say my friend Tony Touch head of Avant Garde dance company, His partner surprised him as he is possibly Marsha's biggest friend so the saddo that he is decided to audio recording the whole show on his Iphone. I am now awaiting a dance piece to the said recording as he did for Maxwell's woman's worth a few years ago- which is my fave song!!! I know he will bring the music alive with sensual movements. Touch if u need a dance partner you know where i be! (I'M SERIOUS TOO)

I was blown away by her performance of 'Butterflies' which she penned for the one and only Michael Jackson to name a few that this talent has worked with. As the show progressed, Marsha took us on a journey and all I could envisage was what i was planning on doing *Covers eyes* But its true her music can only be described as 'Orgasmic'. her vocal range and ability is phenomenal, Close your eyes and You can feel the velvet textures of her pitch, the falling rose petals dropping on your navel in her rhythm, The warm pouring of chocolate on your back with her sultry tempo, the smell of love as she caresses your inner soul with her Lyrics. NOW SNAP OUT OF IT! Yeah that feeling

The intimate setting of Dingwalls allowed the audience to connect with Marsha as she played us snippets of her highly anticipated album 'Late Nights, Early Mornings' which is due for release February 2011. This includes a cover of a Teena Marie song which is sensational to say the least.

All I can say is that it was more like a listening party rather than a concert- My only criticism was i would have appreciated if she did a few more songs of her mix tape which I love.

Overall it was a nice intimate performance and this female simply takes my breath away, I look forward to hearing her new album and if you want to hear the recording of her show please click link below:

Marsha Ambrosius Live @Dingwalls

Check out this

This video is amazing, Marsha looks so epic, The eyelashes and big hair add drama but the presence of the song is felt- The video takes a twist which i really didnt expect- It evoked a few feelings in my heart as Marshas music takes you on a journey. The ending messaging is significant in more ways than one!

POWERFUL VIDEO- ON that note i have 2 wipe away my tears and just be thankful!

That's all from me, for now

Happy New Year to you all, May you be blessed with the path to do as you will!

Future History- Money, Cash, Now! Video

Money, Cash, Now

Swift-ly & Miss rae
So the month of November has been busy, busy for me- Video's , Photoshoots, Campaigns, Events but its nice to say the final products have arrived.

A few weeks ago I got asked to work with the Future History on there latest mini film project- When I agreed I thought it would just be to work my magic as usual, well after working with the guys on there  'Funky Town' video which was filmed on a party bus, I knew i was in for a treat and anything is possible. I must say i had so much fun on this shoot. Swiftly and Bluesy are such gentleman and a dream to work with! Oh yeah thanks to Colours in Peckham for allowing me to spend Swift-ly's £5k in there shop on CLOTHES & More CLOTHES

If your in the Industry you will be aware that sometimes things don't go according to plan and its important for all to help where they can! In  saying  that you will see I made an appearance in this video.....See if you can spot me!

Check out Funky Town.......See if you can spot me again

Fe-Nix Redlight Video is here!

Whoop Whoop im so excited to see my work on the screen! The girls were such a pleasure to work with!

Let me know what you think?

Fe-Nix Redlight Behind the scenes

Monday 8th November My services were required to style the sexy Girl group  Fe-Nix ladies for there new music video featuring Lead man Lee Ryan.

The song is so catchy and the girls wanted a Sin City theme so i had to get into full creativity mode and all I have to say is we had so much fun. The treatment meant each girl had to have 2 looks
  1. Sincity
  2. Casual
Lee Ryan was playin the lead male role so we needed him to be sexy and sleek but slightly adventurous. We chose to have fun and bring some theatrics to the charcater and give him a pirates eye patch and scar - this signified the danger behind him and the dream like world of playing a character rather than being the heart throb that he is so used to being.

As the shoot continued it came to a point where my styling skills took on new challenges. We had to make a bedroom scene out of the props within the studio......Yeah Nothing, after a few calls and the help of my Styling assistant Sacha and Boneshia we made the following fit for a king.....

Tinie Tempah, I like to call him......

Mr Gold Dust aka Tinie Tempah - Is there nothing this young man can't not do without it turning to GOLD or Platinum like his debut album Disc-overy! He has hit us again with another hit! This song is called Invincible and it features the sexy Kelly Rowland. The video is a reflection of his 2010 success and the journey.

The Sequin blazer is perfect show stopping piece as he is well deserved of attracting sparking attention and such a humble gentleman. I salute this young man and hope that other artist take heed on all that he is doing.

'Pride' in everything I do!

A few months ago I got together with Sam from X7 dance troop and she asked me to work with her on this very exciting project which involved Pride Hair salon and Sam's dancers. I jumped at the chance as it was a nice oppurtunity to work with a newer age model that could look amazing whilst posing in different shapes and angles. The models were amazing and such a pleasure to work with. I went into full creative mode and brought my make skills to the table, we had so much fun and it was lovely to work with a range of skin colours, tones and facial features.

Styling - Mission 'Emer Kenny'

Emer Kenny

Emer and Frank Mid scene
This past weekend I had the pleasure of Styling Emer Kenny, to most Zsa Zsa from Eastenders. Assisted by the lovely Sacha. Emer is such a beautiful character and is worlds apart from her on screen character Zsa Zsa.

Emer was playing a 'Eastend Mobb Boss daughter for a feature in a music video for Haynzy Feat Frisco'. The mini movie will be available for your viewing pleasure.

Frank doing what he does best!

I had to style Emer so that she looked relaxed but due to the storyline which had significant meaning I don't want to expose too much. I dressed her in Grey denim and Lace jeans with a chiffon cross neck vest- added layers with a Cropped Blazer with extended fringing detail and flat riding boots to add a bit more edge. Her make up was natural but focused on a dramatic eye. No more blue hair extensions her new cropped shoulder cut was suitably fitting.

Her second look was much more chilled out! Emer wore a caged knitted dress in Grey and brown tones with denim washed jeans teamed with the sexiest Clog fur tongue boots.

The filming took place at a beautiful mansion home jut outside of the M25- I didn't want to leave the house it was so lovely and the car used was dreamy- Fav was the licence plate 'SORRY'

Haynzy is doing big things with this video and i can't wait for you all to see the end product. This talented Artist has teamed up with Frisco (Boy Better Know) and made a hit and the video is going to be EPIC!

On set we was joined by the amazing Frank Harper - Famously known for his part as Dogs in Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels.

I went to the newly refurbished Oxford St/ Tottenham Court Rd branch of H&M which now has a Homeware department- I brought a few items and happy to say the shop looks amazing asthetically pleasing. The instalations are beautiful, Pegged chandelier etc. The Homeware section has to be my favirote not necdesarly for the stok but more the experience. To shop homeware you have to pick up a magnetic shopping board then walk around and pick up the mini fridge magnets of what you wish to purchase. Once you have selected your Motherboard of goods you then take it to the Till and the lovely staff will collect the prepacked items from the stock cupboard. I found this to be profoundly exciting

Remember, Remember 'Movember'

Movember I  hear you echo - Well Movember is a Charity Event that raises the awareness of Prostate cancer.  MEN of all races and AGES go and get your 'Ball's Checked' - No I am not offering any 'Touchy Feely services, However i am sure your GP will be more than happy to give you the Cough Test'. On a serious note The aim of Movember is for men to grow there Moustache's for the month of November but in a style as pictured above. It is a clever way for Men to have fun raising money and it can be very challenging.
In true Charitable spirit my Choice Ltd Colleague Darren. E is getting involved in 'Movember' as of yesterday 1.11.2010 Darren will be growing his moustache to raise money for Charity. We will be uploading weekly images to show his progress.
So here is the first Image- Day 2 (2.11.2010)

Please sponser Darren follow the link:
My grandfather Loren Binns died of Prostate Cancer many years ago (I was age 10), I didn't understand what it was then but i do now thanks to Awareness Campaigns like this. I think it is important for Men of Today to get a check up and be aware that Prostate Cancer can affect any man at any age and time. So Get involved and raise awareness you could save a life.
More Information about MOVEMBER
The Mo, slang for moustache, and November come together each year for Movember. Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The rules are simple, start Movember 1st  clean shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month.  The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for cancers that affect men.  Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days.
The idea for Movember was sparked in 2003 over a few beers in Melbourne, Australia.  The plan was simple – to bring the moustache back as a bit of a joke and do something for men’s health. No money was raised in 2003, but the guys behind the Mo realized the potential a moustache had in generating conversations about men’s health.  Inspired by the women around them and all they had done for breast cancer, the Mo Bros set themselves on a course to create a global men’s health movement.
In 2004 the campaign evolved and focused on raising awareness and funds for the number one cancer affecting men – prostate cancer. 432 Mo Bros joined the movement that year, raising $55,000 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia – representing the single largest donation they had ever received.
The Movember moustache has grown year on year since then, expanding to the UK, US, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Spain, South Africa, The Netherlands and Finland.
In 2009, global participation of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas climbed to 255,755, with over one million donors raising £26 Million (GBP equivalent) for Movember’s global beneficiary partners.
The funds raised through Movember’s UK campaign benefit the The Prostate Cancer Charity (TPCC), the UK’s leading prostate cancer charity.
The money raised as a result of Movember is channelled by our men’s health partner into a number of world class and innovative education, support, research and awareness initiatives.
The success of Movember can be directly attributed to the more than 627,000 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas who have supported our cause since 2003.  Movember is sincerely grateful for their efforts and appreciate all they do.
For those of you new to Movember, we challenge you to join us in changing the face of men's health.

Kanye West Short Film

Just watch it and then read my review............Lets see how 'Normal' we all are...

Simone Karma Rae's Review:

Kanye West is '' I'm Speechlesss'' RUNAWAY..........Platform for Difference & Creativity! I was going to categorize in to Fashion, Themes, Music etc but I'm gonna flow from my mind So here it goes.

I am not sure why Kanye West decided to put this short film together but i must say i am in great anticipation for his Album 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy'.

Selita Ebanks
I enjoyed this film for its Controversy, Beauty, Music, Choreography, Cinematography, Style and artistic creation. Selita Ebanks as the 'Phoenix' was legendary......She had a leaf covering her Vagina. The costume was alluring and tasteful, the textures of the feathers came alive when she moved. I felt as though i was in a Theatre and watching a live Interpretation of Kanye's Mind.

Kanye directed the film and I am sure he chose the White people in white clothes for a purpose, The black people at the table in fine luxury suits and gowns. Tastefully done but i think this was to illustrate how roles have changed but is this significant? Regardless of colour we are all one people, Colour does not define who you are or who you will become. The Bird was ridiculed and looked upon as shameful and 'DIFFERENT'

The Phoenix said to Kanye 'Everything that is different, your world has to change'

That sentence summarised the ideas of most but not the characteristics of some.
The soundtrack was perfect and the choice of songs helped emphasis the points Kanye is making with his current creative direction.

The visual explains the title of his album - some scenes do not make sense but it shows we idolise and focus on the lessor evils in the world. Is Kanye paying Homage to Michael Jackson or is he mocking that we mourned the death of a 'mere mortal'?

I don't know the answers but i know how that Film made me feel, The Juxtaposition of music and scenes was beautifully executed. The contrasting ballerinas movement was expressive yet contemporary and poetic. I love the classical movement of Ballerinas. The history behind Ballet is more for an upper class, high society market however Kanye chose the Ballerinas to perform to his style of 'Urban' music and it worked.

Hype Williams is back!

Key line that stood out to me:

'Lost in this Plastic Life' Are we all lost or are we trying so hard to not be different?

Brings me back to my earlier article....Call me what you like, I'm anything other than 'Normal'

'Who will Survive in America'- the echoing of this in the background sent a chill through my body, I don't know why but it did!

So what did you think?

New Age Marketing

Adverts have emerged, Grammar, Elocution and normal behaviour have gone out the window! Adverts are more about the creative visual rather than the product. Have a look this is one of the BEST most memorable adverts i have seen this year!

Please mind the 'GAP'

I know we are still just embarking on the Winter season however I can't help but look Fashion Forward and start to focus on what i will be wearing in better Weather conditions. GAP have released a few images from there Spring Summer 2011 collection . I love the cool Blue, Grey and peach tones- I light fresh cool palette to take on the challenges of 2011. Have a look for yourself!

Kanye's New Nashers

Party like a Kanye Rock Star, Kanye has traded his Pearly whites for the Diamond Million dollar smile! I like it, you might hate it MARMITE BITCHES!

Kanye west reveled his new bling on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

'DeGeneres asked West if the diamonds were a removable grill, which snaps over the teeth, but the rapper insisted they were permanent.

"I just thought the diamonds were cooler,” West said. “There's just certain stuff that rock stars are supposed to do."

Its his mouth let him do what he wants- Lil Wayne has it done - Don't criticise the Creative mind!

Kanye's New Teeth

Also controversy over his new Album Cover...........what can i say i get it, I get him!
?????
Kanye West is artistic some say sadistic however i just see him as pushing the boundaries and being creative with his ideas! Many genius have been quoted to being 'Crazy' but they have also been the minds that have created our present which was there 'Future'!

Smile Away boo!

MOBO's 2010 Fashion View

Wednesday 20.10.10 saw the 15th Annual MOBO award take place in the musical city of Liverpool- Birth Place of some of the musical masterminds of our times such as the Beatles.
Miss Dixon
Miss Dixon

The show was the usual Glitz and Glamour. The presenters Reggie Yates and Alesha Dixon kept it contemporary with there varied anecdotes and costume changes. Reggie had his geek squad glasses and suit, was not feeling the checkered trousers but hey its Reggie!  I must say I really loved Alesha's first outfit choice as pictured above, This reminded me of my very own Bindividual dress, designed for my 25th birthday party 2009 (sorry Alesha im too far in the future for you hehehehe). Alesha throughout the night tore up the stage in her futuristic garments, with the use of sexy shiny fabrics. I would give her 5 stars.  Her Make up looked flawless with the use of her natural tone and her extra long Slick Pony tail just set the look on fire!

tinie-tempah
Mr Tinie Tempah
Lets discuss the man of the year, Mr Tempah! To be honest I thought Tinie Tempah was gonna clear up the MOBO Awards, I am surprised he only got 2! This young man is the definition of 'Humble' he carries himself well and has not let the fame go to his head. I recently braved the cold in Manchester and went and brought his album Disc-Overy from HMV and my VERDICT is it's one of the best albums I have purchased this year.

Whilst I sat at home unhappy that I was unable to attend the awards due to illness :-( but i sent one of my faithful spies who gave me  minute- minute live updates on the old faithful blackberry messenger. I felt as though i was there live and direct on table 16 sssh!
Being connected to the ''Industry'' (posh voice) I had already heard whispers of a UK team performance so I was on the edge of my sofa waiting in great anticipation for this magnificent performance.

 Team UK Performance
Devlin
Then it came my little styder man graced the stage fully equipped with SWAGGER and STYLE performing Game-Over (He could have renamed the song 'Gamu over' as she was sitting in the audience) as the performance continued the UK All stars flowed out onto the stage starting with the incredible Giggs- Dressed in a smooth gentleman's Grey to Black shade tone jumper and matching scarf he performed in true laid back style- His voice seducing the masses OK well mainly ME, I love his voice I do! We saw a further 8/16 bar (I got the music lingo down) dropped by Professor Green , Tinie Tempah and my mate Devs or as you know him Devlin. I would be happy to call this performance the Lyrical Assassin performance of the Year......UK's MOBO elite.

MOBO 2010 Improvements
Wretch32
The  final performance could have only improved if  the following artist were involved:  My cheeky suave Chipmunk, Rugged sexy Griminal and the lyrical decapitation of Ghetts and Wretch 32.  It defo would have been SHUT DOWN CITY! GAME OVER start again, close the doors and please don't come back!
in saying that i am sure there is more to come #Watchthisspace (twitter tag)

Jessie J
It really would have been nice to have some female performances  UK ladies you REALLY need to get involved, Good Looks is just not enough! Ladies you are letting us down, you need to have the full package.
I would have loved to see my girl Jessie J up on the stage as she is on fire! This young lady is about her craft- Song writing (NO.1 Hit 4 Miley Cyrus Born in the US, Alicia Keyes next single all penned by Jessica Cornish), Creative Style, Swagger in a manner you can not bottle and sell as its just out of this world, she commands attention during her performance AND in capital letters....... her vocal ability will make you jump and up and down, spin around, touch the ground, slap your self and then call ya mama Jane even if her name is Marilyn (Hi mum).  I have been a fan and watching Jessie J musically for a while since being introduced to her by a mutual friend i am elated to know that her Album with be with us soon :-)
I think next year 2011 will be her year check her out on YouTube and you will know visually what I'm talking about. http://www.jessiejmusic.com

Who wore what?

£165.00 Adidas Tuxedo @ Selfridges
Skepta - ( Boy Better Know) came out whilst performing with Jay Sean rocking a sequined Adidas Tuxedo suit which was beautifully crafted and only Mr Adenuga could have executed with such style and energy. His outfit became a popular subject on Twitter.

3
Stone Island Coat
Tinie Tempah - Grey Blazer suit with white T-shirt and trainers with his signature Ray Bans

Roll Deep- Roll Deep were the most fun, there performance was vibrant and they all wore Casual Gillet in reverse colours. Breeze wore some glittered Ray Bans loved them.

Professor Green - On one of his performances he came out in a college varsity jacket- Bang on trend and he looked great in his all black jacket.
Tinchy Styder - Stone Island Coat also caused a stir- My blackberry and twitter was going crazy with excitement with question as to where he got the reflective coat. I was proud o inform the masses that the coat was available in the Choice store.

JLS - What can i say? hmmmm where to start BBC coat with bowler hat, black stripe v neck top, waistcoat, stripy gloves, Harem pants, workers dockers boots, hanging stuff Confusedtryingsomethingthatdidntworkatall.com

NDubz - As usual they brought energy and style to the show, Tulisa added the feminine sparkle in a beautiful peach cut dress. Dappy and Fazer kept is casual in all black Adidas jackets and signature head gear and jewels. I was upset with Tulisa gold dress as she obviously had a wardrobe malfunction and the dress should have fit her bust a little better rather than her shrugging it up- But i love Tulisa all the same had i styled her 'THAT' would not have happened!

On the night we got a chance to see awards presented my Jermaine Jackson, Hollyoak’s Star Calvin, Rochelle* 1 part of the Saturdays, Preeya Anand* plus many more

 Bitch Rant
*I hated Rochelle & Preeya's Glitter infected dresses* OH lord I felt as though my younger siblings chased them both around the room with crazy glue and GLITTER from Woolworth's kmt

Jermaine Jackson - needs to stay away from the Embroidery machine- SERIOUSLY!!!
Kanya Weave King

Kanya King - Silence ................Long Pause (20mins 2 be exact) then all i will say is Mutton dressed as GOAT, Little White dress Kanya ...Really....No Really.... Nooooooooooooo! That WEAVE also had a life of its own! Please call Hype Coiffure they will assist you. Don't get me wrong I love what she is doing!

Scorcher
Also a big well done to all Nominees but especially  Scorcher who has been working really hard this year and its nice to see that he is getting the recognition he truly deserves on a musical level.

If i have not mentioned you then obviously your wardrobe stylist ain't doing the right thing because i didn't notice you neither did my spy!
