Styling & Make up for Born Yesterday Video

Its Feb 28th 2010 and i am preparing for a long day ahead for Gil feat Ny's new music video ' Born Yesterday'.

ALERT, ALERT, ALERT- FASHION REALISTIC FIRST!!!!

Its 7am and i get a call from Ny asking if i am ready- She blatantly knew i went out the night before and most probably not had any sleep!!! I jumped in the bath and had mentally prepared my outfit, so I put on my white v-neck puff sleeve jumper with grey waistcoat, Grey Nike track pants and most would have put on trainers well me being the stylist that I am ... I put on my Grey, Yellow & Black heels......... Tracksuit bottoms & HEELS (U read it here first) 
Once dressed to perfection i drove to collect Ny, Fusnara , then made our way to collect Kiera Anderson the hair stylist. Car stuffed with suitcases & hair products, We drove to the set on Commercial Rd, East London. When we arrived the crew was setting up but they had breakfast ready and waiting for us which consisted of Bacon sarnies (Ny's a Veggie) Croissants,  Juice + Fruit!

Let the Magic begin

First things first set out all clothing provided my Apple Bottoms; Spin Agency for the Artist the Extra's in the video.

HAIR: Kiera began with the first hair look that myself; Ny had discussed for the overall look! This was all out but slicked to one side with slight curl at the end. This look was for her performance shot.

CLOTHING: I decided to put Ny in a sequin 1 shoulder embossed detailed dress, The style was sophisticated yet sexy to give Ny a mature sultry look. The dress fit her perfectly and revealed enough skin but kept it very classy. The hairstyle complimented the angles of the dress as it was not too much and did not detract from her performance. The accessories used were small earrings and black caged shoes to match the strap on the arm. A mental circular shape bangle was used to elongate her arms and body length, used to create illusion of height!

MAKE UP: First look was basic smokey eye, light blusher; glossy lips

NAILS: Clear color nails with Glitter base and diamantes on the index fingers only! (Perks of having a top nail technician as your friend Luv u Cat- Check out www.Glamourtraining.co.uk )

The shoot went underway and the director was happy with the Image of Ny and so was Gil the producer of the track.

Second Look

This scene was performed well and involved extras & a male model. Was set up on a circular track which rotated around the performance between Ny and her male model. The Extra's including myself- Yeah i got roped in also outlined the performance giving Ny the video concept support she required. (Her girls having her back)

My overall aim for the second look was to be more dark and mysterious, Visually more impacting to what the audience are used to expecting from Ny. I wanted to bring out her edgy image but still keep it sexy and suave.

HAIR:  For this look, Ny had a 1940's style quiff that cascaded into 2 cornrows to give a stylish 'Modern Twist to the quiff'. Kiera used holding spray and serum to complete the look- Ny looked completely transformed to her previous look.

CLOTHING: I put Ny in a A/W 2010 Exclusive Black Apple Bottom Leather Jacket with Gold detailing, X zip and Biker collar. Blue denim ripped crushed Apple Bottom jeans with Gold Studs in the x section stitching. Black and Gold closed toe heals with Gold Zip to ankle!  Black belt with Panther chain.

NAILS: Cat on hand, changed Ny's nails on set to a dark pearled Grey and left the diamonds on contrasting fingers.

MAKE UP: On her eyes i did Black feline shape flicks to cover the eyelid, with a silver underline to bring out the eyes. Creamy cheeks and nude matte lips with LIPSTICK- Lipstick is back ladies

Extras

The extra ladies had to get ready and then have a finale once over of approval by myself and Kiera to ensure Hair, Make up and clothing were on point.

The end product is going to be amazing- The director Kaz and his team were professional and i am sure Ny and Gil will be happy.

My favorite shot has to be the Opening shot all i am gonna say is that stance was ALOT!

Summer Body Project

GYM CLOTHING

Fashion incorporated into my Summer Body project- AskyourGirl &  Terrtag.com T-shirts, Topshop & Nike Leggings, Nike Rifts, Adidas tracksuits will be worn by the Team. it's vital that you wear comfitable clothing, breathable materials and the correct footwear to avoid any accidents! Heels on the treadmill just does not cut it!

If you know me thats all your going to hear from me is the 'Summer Body Project' 'Summer Body Project'

This consist of me going to the Gym and maintaining a healthy lifestyle over the next couple months. All in preparation for the hot weather that is coming our way! I want to be able to put on my bikini, sit on the beach and be fully confident. MISSION NOT IMPOSSIBLE!!!

I have been going every other day with my 'SBP Team' Just so you know I am the only female in the project but this is beneficial as the guys really do push me hard. This consist of my brother Theo, My friend Sheldon & Model RomeoValentino (follow him on twitter Romeovmodel)

Its important to go to the gym regularly as young females, Maintain a healthy body and mind. Even though i am already a dress Size 10 I feel that its more about the maintenance and keeping my body toned and feminine. I am 25 years old, many describe me as slim BUT i don't take it for granted- I too watch what i eat, you can't guarantee the metabolism is going to remain fast throughout life, its just not a good enough excuse. 

Like a few others i despise drinking H2o i think its disgusting but during my SBJ project i am trying to drink at least a litre a day to help flush my kidneys and help me survive my workout. Been going well so far! My Mantra is EVIAN is my friend! I like my clothes to fit perfect i don't want no bulges and flesh showing in awkward places. I like to buy my size and if alterations needed its because of the garment NOT ME!

WORKOUT DETAILS

I have been doing a minimum of 2 hours at the gym which is broken down to a 5 minute stretch warm up, 15 min power walk, 15 min run on the treadmill. Then  on to the machines for 1 hour working on Lateral pulls, seated assisted dips. Then 15 min on free weight exercises then the final 15-20 on mat exercises such as lunges, crunches, sit ups, press ups etc then finally a 5 min warm down. Ok thats over 2 hours but you get the point.

I will keep you posted on my progress, so far so good its been 2 weeks and my energy levels have increased and i feel more toned in areas than i did before.

The 52nd Grammy Fashion

The Grammys. and Oscars are maybe the most prestigious award ceremony's in the Entertainment industry. The designers bring out the best dresses and accessories and they use the most amazing stars to showcase there beautiful suits & gowns.

The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards 2010

The lady of the night wore a Stephane Rolland dress. I thought the dress was beautiful mainly paying attention to the intricate detailing on the dress really brings this dress into a league of its own. The colour was complimentary to B's new golden tresses. The earrings set of the outfit and kept this beautiful lady 'Successfully beautiful and classy'. I think B knew she was gonna clean up at the Grammy's so she played down the red carpet outfit as the awards did all the talking.  **** Stars


Britney or shall i say 'Kick me' i thought her D&G dress was awful! I would have put Britney in a single or strapless tailored fitted shape dress. The detail at the side of the dress was beautiful however britanys leotard support knickers did not compliment the overall look. It would have been nice to see her hair up in a classy bun with a beautiful smokey eye and bold lip colour. **Stars


Mary J Blidge looked beautiful in this cut out Gucci gown. The colour purple really compliments her gold shortcropped hair style, with the individual drop earings really set the fitted gown off! Mary is a mature lady and looked her age and kept it simply elegant. The use of colour brought out the feist that we all love in Mary. ****Stars
