Rihanna is back with a Colourful video for 'Who's that Chick'?- according to Rihanna's Official Twitter, This was filmed for a Dorito's advertisement but got leaked online. There is now an additional 'Nite Version- Which is exactly the same song but much more Sexy & darker themes, I.e Black clothing, Stilletto nails, Cob webs etc.
I love this campaign video because the Make -up is fantastic, vibrant, effective yet playful, The Pink lips and yellow wyeshadow with dark black liquid line is so captivating and volitile, Not everyone could pull off but Rihanna executes perfectly.
Rihannas stylist Mirianne never fails to surprise me. Her hair is funky and stylish. The costumes are beautfully constructed and fit the concept perfectly. I would love to be involved in a video like this as its like a giant doll house with costumes, bright lights and make up. This type of video really brings out the nitty gritty skill that a Make up artist and stylist poses. The close up camera shots identify EVERYTHING!
One day soon I will be doing a video like this - Loads of bright colours, shapes and camera angles, Playful artist and a great director.
